Hamzah Farooq

Hamzah is a Specialist Registrar (ST6) and an early clinical academic in Infectious Diseases and Virology, based in Manchester. His research career aim is to contribute to the control of infectious diseases in high-burden settings through operational research and evaluation of novel diagnostics. He is currently undertaking a senior clinical fellowship in whole genome sequencing (WGS) of Mycobacteria at the National Mycobacterium Reference Service (NMRS) within the National Infection Service at PHE Colindale. Her current research includes collaborative projects on emerging infectious diseases in Pakistan and WGS of M.tuberculosis.
