We are calling for applications to join the Professional Development Committee (PDC).

The PDC are responsible for the design, planning and delivery of our events and educational initiatives relating to that will promote the application of best clinical practice, promote patient safety and educate the public.

We invite applications from HIS members with experience or an interest in developing and delivering events and educational activities. The responsibilities of PDC members include:

  • Attending three online committee meetings per year
  • Contributing to the programme of FIS/HIS International Meetings as requested by the Chair.
  • Planning the scientific content of HIS Annual Conference.
  • Planning and delivering existing educational activities, including IPC Training Days, Outbreaks courses and IPC Leaders’ Programme and more.
  • Making recommendations for the development of new events and courses, and educational resources.
  • Reviewing applications for related grants, bursaries and fellowships.

Term

The role is for an initial three-year term with an option for two further terms of two years, subject to agreement by Council.
