HIS IPC leaders’ course - Influencing others and changing behaviour

NHSE IPC Education Framework level: This course aligns to Advanced level on the framework

This session demonstrates how the IPC Leader can most effectively engage senior decision-makers, manage the IPC Team, and develop themselves, to deliver a high-quality and effective IPC service.

After attending, delegates will be able to:

  • Describe the relationship between the IPC Leader, the Board and external stakeholders, and how the IPC Leader can engage to effectively advocate for IPC.
  • Understand emotional intelligence and how it can help Leaders to develop their teams and collaborate with others.
  • Describe how behavioural science can be applied to IPC and AMR, using practical behaviour change theory to identify and address barriers.
  • Explain the psychological, social and environmental challenges that need to be overcome in delivering IPC.
  • Understand how to develop personal resilience and deal with demands as an IPC Leader.

Accreditation will be sought from the Royal College of Pathologists for 5 CPD credits. A Certificate of attendance will be provided after the event for delegates who attend the full day.
