About the webinar
Join the Healthcare Infection Society for this lunchtime webinar exploring "MRSA – The enduring foe".
MRSA has been with us for six decades now, and during that time our understanding of MRSA has expanded significantly. But there’s always more to learn! The Healthcare Infection Society have recently published a new special issue across the Journal of Hospital Infection and Infection Prevention in Practice called “MRSA: The enduring foe”.
Based on this special issue, this IPC Journal Club in partnership with the Healthcare Infection Society will be chaired by Dr Siobháin Kelly, who edited the special issue, and will discuss two papers from this special issue. The first, from Infection Prevention in Practice and led by Dr Phil Norville, will discuss MRSA (and vancomycin-resistant S. aureus!) from patients with wound infection in East Wallaga Zone, Western Ethiopia. The second, from the Journal of Hospital Infection and led by Dr Jon Otter, will discuss the impact of universal MRSA admission screening in a hospital with high prevalence of MRSA in Malta. Dr Siobháin Kelly will be facilitating Q&A from the audience. Please try to read the papers before the Journal Club, and come with your questions! We hope that you are able to join us.
This Journal Club is hosted by IPC Partners in partnership with the Healthcare Infection Society. IPC Partners is a collaborative of experts providing independent IPC advice to healthcare providers and corporate partners.
