Dr Epstein is consultant speech-language therapist at UCLH. She is honorary associate professor at UCL and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Institute of Health Professions, Boston, USA. In the past two years she has taken a leading role in the AMRC funded PERFORM-2 study, investigating risks associated with inhalation transmission of SARS-CoV-2 during voice assessment and treatment, and subsequently evaluating various mitigation strategies. Dr Epstein has been part of the Air Safety study clinical team, focusing on the production of evidence-based guidelines and safe return to clinical work environment for patients and clinicians.
