Ginny works at Public Health England Porton. Previous research positions held within the University of Wales, University of Ulster and University College London Hospital focused on the role of the environment in the transmission of foodborne illness and healthcare-associated infection. She is continuing this work at PHE Porton Down where she currently leads the water microbiology team and where projects investigating bacterial survival, colonisation and dispersal from hospital taps, sinks and drains have involved the design, development and use of model water distribution systems.
