There is a great deal of infection prevention and control guidance to reduce the risk of transmitting CJD in healthcare and community settings. This presentation will describe recent updates, and will consider how interpretation and use of the guidance has changed as the epidemiology of CJD in the UK has evolved and risks of a large variant CJD epidemic appear to have abated.
