The programme comprises a series of 6 one-day training sessions (2 per year in June and December), over a three-year period and each programme includes speaker presentations, discussion sessions and workshops.
The HIS Foundation Certificate in IPC Leadership recognises HIS members (Full or Associate) who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to their professional development in infection prevention and control through attendance and participation in the programme.
To apply for the certificate, HIS Full or Associate members must submit the following to admin@his.org.uk by email:
Certificates of Attendance for 6 distinct IPC Leaders’ Development events
A 500-word maximum reflection per event describing the application of each IPC Leaders’ Development event to their own practice
Applications may be submitted at any time during the year.
To be eligible to apply for the Foundation Certificate in IPC Leadership, HIS Members (Full or Associate) must attend and fully participate in 6 distinct HIS IPC Leaders’ Development events on the IPC Leaders Development Programme, within a 5 year period.
Applicants will be notified if they have been successful in achieving the Foundation Certificate in IPC Leadership within 6 weeks of submitting their application.
