HIS journal article featured in WHO 2025 antimicrobial resistance resource pack

A paper published in our official open access journal, Infection Prevention in Practice (IPIP), has been featured in the 2025 WHO Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) resource pack, which aims to provide useful resources for the development and implementation of national action plans on AMR worldwide.

The paper by Nour Shamas, Elizabeth Stokle, Diane Ashiru-Oredope and Evelyn Wesangula addresses the challenges of implementing antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) tools in low- to middle-income countries (LMICs). It shares challenges to implementing AMS interventions from experts working in LMICs across Africa, Asia and Europe and highlights available open-access AMS resources that have been co-developed by healthcare workers across multiple countries.

The piece was commissioned as part of a collection focusing on the overlooked challenges of AMR edited by Editor in Chief, Gemma Winzor, and can be read for free on the IPIP website. IPIP is a fully open access journal – if you have an idea for an article or collection, get in touch with the editorial team here.
