This year’s varied 3-day programme that provides more opportunities for Trainees than ever before! Take a look at some of this year’s programme highlights:

Networking - This year’s event includes ample networking opportunities, including our new pre-conference networking 'Games Night', the Lowbury Reception, including a ‘pub-quiz’ and a night of socialising in Liverpool's vibrant Albert Dock.

New consultants career session – Aimed at those reaching the end of their training, this interactive session will include short presentations from newly appointed consultants followed by roundtable breakout groups to discuss key themes that may be of interest to anyone who has just started or will shortly be starting in a consultant role.

FRCPath Exam preparation - For those preparing for exams, we offer a new exams workshop featuring top tips from a former RCPath examiner and discussion groups led by recent trainees.

IPC to protect the planet as well as people - This workshop guides participants to develop a toolkit to improve the quality and environmental sustainability of IPC practice.

Diagnostics for the next-generation clinical microbiology laboratory - This session explores new diagnostic methods in clinical microbiology that offer faster and more precise identification of pathogens, enhancing the speed and accuracy of diagnosis whilst contributing to more effective treatment strategies and ultimately improving public health outcomes.

Paediatric grand round - An interactive session featuring case presentations by trainees and a panel discussion by experts in the field of paediatric infection.
