The Editorial Team at HIS’s new open access journal, Infection Prevention in Practice, are pleased to offer fee-free open access publication to three winning posters submitted to the FIS/HIS 2020 conference. The IPIP Editorial Team will support and assist the winners with the publication of their poster in the journal.
IPIP is the gold open access journal of the Healthcare Infection Society, and provides a comprehensive fully open access resource for all those working in the field of prevention and treatment of healthcare-associated infections worldwide. IPIP welcomes high-quality articles in the field of infection prevention and control that will influence clinical best practice and reduce the global burden of infection in healthcare.

The British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC), one of the world’s most influential networks of infection specialists, is pleased to offer publication to two winning posters submitted to the FIS/HIS 2020 Conference in JAC-Antimicrobial Resistance (JAC-AMR).
JAC-Antimicrobial Resistance (JAC-AMR) is a new fully open access journal from BSAC. The journal publishes innovative academic content, as well as peer review commentaries on stewardship resources.
The education component of JAC-AMR is an innovative online repository for educational resources intended to support learning and increase knowledge about antimicrobial stewardship practice, antimicrobial resistance, behaviour change and more, for a worldwide audience.

The Microbiology Society Infection Science Award is an exchange scheme that facilitates the most promising trainee and early career presenters from FIS to present at the Microbiology Society Annual Conference Infection Forum in an effort to improve the exchange of ideas and the career development of early career researchers and trainee scientists and doctors.
The Award was open to self-defining early career and trainee presenters at FIS / HIS international 2020 online. Eligible abstract presenters were invited to apply and shortlisted candidates were invited to present their work in the Infectious disease futures: trainee researcher spotlight session on Tuesday 10 November 11:00 – 12:15. Judges selected the winners for the Infection Science Award during the session.
The awardees have been offered registration to the Microbiology Society Annual Conference 2021 and invited to submit a short publication based on their abstract to Access Microbiology, one of six journals.
