Lesley Hoyles

Lesley Hoyles is Professor of Microbiome and Systems Biology at Nottingham Trent University, and a Visiting Professor in the Department of Surgery & Cancer at Imperial College London. She uses a combination of laboratory work and computational biology to understand how the gut microbiota influences mammalian health throughout life. She also works on the genomic and functional attributes of the emerging pathogen Klebsiella oxytoca. Lesley is research lead for the Antimicrobial Resistance, Omics and Microbiota theme at Nottingham Trent University, and is co-vice chair of the Research Committee of the Healthcare Infection Society.
