Katie Jeffery 

Katie is a Consultant in Clinical Infection, Infection Control Doctor and Director of Infection Prevention and Control at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Professor of Microbiology and Hospital Epidemiology at Oxford University. Her clinical interests are prevention of healthcare associated infection, point of care testing, molecular diagnosis, neurological infection, antimicrobial and diagnostic stewardship, and infections in the immunocompromised host. She has published over 100 peer reviewed articles, most recently on various aspects of SARS-CoV-2 infection including diagnostics, clinical management and infection prevention and control.
She is the recent past President of the British Infection Association, on the expert advisory panel to the Infected Blood Inquiry, a member of the RECOVERY trial Steering Group and a member of the recently constituted Infectious Diseases Transform Clinical Reference Group.
