This certificate is currently under review because the Engineering Aspects of Infection Control is being redeveloped. If you have already attended the Engineering Aspects of Infection Control you may still submit your Advanced Certificate in Infection Prevention and Control application.
To be eligible for the HIS Advanced Certificate in Infection Prevention and Control, HIS Members (Full or Associate) must attend and fully participate in 6 distinct DIPC Education Days PLUS the Engineering Aspects of Infection Control Course, within a 5 year period.
As an additional requirement, at the point of application for either certificate, candidates are required to submit a 500 word reflection (1 side A4) describing the application of each event or course to their own role.
To apply for the certificates, Full or Associate HIS Members must submit the following to admin@his.org.uk by email:
Certificates of Attendance for 6 distinct DIPC Education Days (plus the Engineering Course for the Advanced Certificate)
A 500-word reflection per event describing the application of each event or course to their own practice.
Applications may be submitted at any time during the year.
Applicants will be notified if they have been successful in achieving the certificate within 4 weeks of submitting their application.
Formal presentations of the certificates will be made annually at the AGM in November or December.
