Topics in IPC - individual modules now available as courses
Following on from the success of our HIS/UKHSA Foundation Course in IPC, HIS are pleased to offer each module as an individual self-led course to purchase on the HIS eLearning platform.
Each course covers a distinct area of infection prevention and control (IPC) and allows learners to gain a firm grounding in the principles and application to IPC practice.

These  eLearning courses have been specifically designed to support the development of all practitioners in IPC, including medical trainees, newly appointed consultants, nurses, pharmacists, biomedical and clinical scientists.

The topics are:

  • Basics in infection prevention and control
  • Pathogen-based approach to infection prevention and control
  • Infection prevention and control in the built environment
  • Principles of surveillance and antimicrobial stewardship
  • Leadership and managing change in infection prevention and control

Each course is CPD accredited by RCPath and will take an estimated 5 – 7.5 hours to complete.  Learners have access for 3 months.
