Insights from a Renowned Leader
Dame Judith Hackitt is internationally recognised for her expertise in risk management, safety culture, and regulatory frameworks. Her distinguished career includes leadership role of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry, which led to the development of the Hackitt Report. She is currently serving as the chair of the Office for Nuclear Regulation and was previously Chair of the Health and Safety Executive. Her keynote address will explore critical topics such as:

It also championed a shift from rigid, prescriptive rules toward a risk-based and outcome-focused approach to decision-making, embedding safety as a fundamental priority.

This year’s HISCON will focus on occupant safety within healthcare buildings on day one, exploring Dame Judith’s experience and insights, an especially timely topic as England embarks on one of the largest healthcare facility new-build programmes globally.
