News: Journal of Hospital Infection welcomes new Editor to the team
The flagship journal of the Healthcare Infection Society, the Journal of Hospital Infection (JHI) welcomes a new Editor to the team in 2024.
Dr Luke Moore is an infectious diseases physician and clinical microbiologist with special interests in critical care infections, antimicrobial resistance, and healthcare systems.

Dr. Moore works clinically for secondary and tertiary care patients with infections in London, UK, while his current research focuses on antimicrobial stewardship and the epidemiology of and interventions for outbreak control.

The JHI is a high-impact journal, publishing quality research and information on infection prevention and control (IPC) in healthcare settings for readers internationally. Led by Editor in Chief, Dr Nik Mahida, and editors Dr Martyn Wilkinson and Dr Jim Gray, the journal is a well-respected source of peer reviewed research and opinion for the IPC community.

Dr Mahida welcomed Luke, stating: “We’re delighted that Luke can join the editorial team at the JHI. He brings a wealth of knowledge in infectious diseases, microbiology and virology with him to the journal, alongside plentiful experience as an Associate Editor at the Journal of Infection. Welcome to the team.”
