HIS welcomes new Editor to the journals team
The Healthcare Infection Society (HIS) this week welcomes a new Editor to the team of Infection Prevention in Practice (IPIP), the official open access journal of the Society.
Professor Simon Ching Lam of Tung Wah College, Hong Kong, joins the IPIP team.

Professor Simon Ching Lam of Tung Wah College, Hong Kong, joins Editor in Chief Dr Gemma Winzor in assessing submissions and steering the scope of the journal. Prof. Lam is the Associate Dean of Research and Centre Director of Integrative Health Centre at Tung Wah College School of Nursing, and brings a broad knowledge of infection prevention, nursing, and research methodologies to the role.

Launched in 2019, IPIP has quickly become a leading publication in healthcare-associated infection (HCAI) prevention, recently earning its first impact factor of 1.8. IPIP publishes high-quality research aimed at influencing clinical best practices and reducing the global burden of HCAIs. The journal is particularly focused on challenges in developing countries, with all articles undergoing rigorous peer review.
