Chosen by the Healthcare Infection Society’s higher awards committee, Dr Lin was recognised for consistently demonstrating a commitment to innovation and excellence. Her work has significantly influenced strategies for infection prevention and control, with far-reaching implications for national healthcare practices in Singapore and Asia. The lecture, scheduled to take place at this year’s FIS/HIS conference in November will provide a platform for Dr Lin to share her wealth of knowledge and experience with an international audience. About Dr Ling
Dr Ling Moi Lin, a graduate of the National University of Singapore, pursued her postgraduate training in Microbiology at the Victoria University of Manchester. She holds membership in the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and is a certified professional in healthcare quality (CPHQ).
Currently serving as the Director of Infection Control at SGH, Dr Lin played a pivotal role in establishing the hospital's infection control program. She serves as the President of the Infection Control Association (Singapore) and holds the position of President in the Asia Pacific Society of Infection Control (APSIC).
Her involvement extends to the Healthcare Quality Certification Board (HQCB), where she served as a Director and Asia Pacific representative from 2006-2007. Dr Lin contributed to the establishment of the Healthcare Quality Society of Society in 2007, holding the position of founding President. Additionally, she is a fellow of the Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) and a member of the Editorial Council of both the International Journal of Infection Control and the Healthcare Infection journal.
Dr. Lin's expertise lies in infection control, antimicrobial resistance, molecular epidemiology, and quality improvement. She is a seasoned trainer in infection control, quality improvement, LEAN and patient safety.
