Not only will there be poster sessions, but there will be speaking opportunities in the poster talks and selected oral communications sessions. Submit your abstract before the deadline of Midnight on 26 June.

If you are reaching the end of your training why not attend our ‘New consultants careers session’? This session will include short presentations from newly appointed consultants followed by roundtable breakout groups to discuss key themes that may be of interest to anyone who has just started or will shortly be starting in a consultant role.

For those preparing for exams, we offer a new exams workshop featuring top tips from a former RCPath examiner and discussion groups led by recent trainees.

There’s also a packed 3 day scientific programme and ample networking opportunities including our new pre-conference networking 'Games Night' event (an evening of board games), the Lowbury Reception which will include an optional ‘pub-quiz’ and a night of socialising in Liverpool's infamous Albert Dock.

Worried about funding?  If you plan to present at FIS you are eligible to apply for a HIS travel grant of up to £1000 to support your attendance.
