The implementation of infection prevention and control practices varies across professional groupings, clinical areas and healthcare facilities. Culture differences can exist within each of these organisational layers resulting in differing values, attitude, beliefs and consequential infection prevention and control behaviours. Evidence of some of these differences will be presented and innovative ways of managing these explored.
