Manjula is an experienced Consultant Microbiologist and Infection Prevention Doctor for Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, where she has been at the forefront of patient safety and a passionate advocate for multi-disciplinary collaborative working. Having served in various roles (Trustee, Secretary, Ordinary Member) since 2015, Dr. Meda has demonstrated her passionate commitment to IPC and has played a vital role in shaping our educational initiatives, such as developing the education framework and creating our recent Water and Wastewater Safety in Healthcare course.

As Chair, Manjula aims to strengthen the role of IPC professionals in the UK and HIS’s position as a global leader in IPC research, education and training. Her priorities include enhancing the Society’s engagement with a diverse range of healthcare professionals, driving innovation in research, and campaigning for change to build safer hospitals.
